Mount Pleasant Winery
Mount Pleasant Winery was founded by George Munch in 1859, who settled in Missouri after emigrating from Germany. While the winery has undergone numerous changes throughout the years, its heritage still remains the same with the original cellars (built in 1881) still in use today.
Mount Pleasant Winery also holds the distinction of being the largest grower of grapes in the Augusta area with over 60,000 vines. A relaxing and friendly atmosphere at Mount Pleasant greets guests when they first arrive as well as a bottle of great tasting wine. Visitors can also try a sample of food from the Augusta Grocery to bring out the full, rich taste of their distinctly flavored wines.
