St. Francois Vineyards and Winery is located among the rolling hills of the St. Francois Mountain region in southeast Missouri. Since 1992, the vineyard has been producing top quality grapes to make a wide variety of dry, semi dry, and sweet wines. Up until recently, the St. Francois Vineyards sold much of its production to wineries across the United States before deciding to create its own winery. Visitors can try a number of wines based from varietals such as Chardonel, Traminette, Chambourcin, and Cynthiana. Locally prepared sausages and cheeses are also available as well as a free wine tasting.
